"Supporting Industries in Their Decarbonization Efforts"
Veolia is pleased to take part in the Towards Thailand Net Zero conference in Bangkok on 4 June, aligning with Thailand's commitment made at COP 28 in the UAE to reduce carbon emissions.
Mr. Burin Tangsilpaolarn from Veolia addressed the audience with the recent climate challenges, emphasizing the urgent need for action in light of the record-breaking heat waves and the onset of climate breakdown. Veolia's GreenUp strategy, focusing on decarbonization, regeneration, and depollution, stands ready to assist both public and private entities in supporting Thailand’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions by 30% to 40% by 2030.
Additionally, Mr Thanakorn Leelachaijaroenphan highlighted Veolia's solutions and strategies for supporting industries in their decarbonization efforts, raising awareness and generating interest in Veolia's capabilities. The collaborations formed at the event will eventually contribute to Thailand's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and reaching net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065, benefiting society and the environment.
